The best way to do a 15 second tvc & not loose money.

In Uncategorized on August 30, 2010 at 8:34 am

When you’re planning to do a 15 second TVC for a client of yours, time is truly of essence here. Careful planning and attention to detail will save you time and possibly some money too.

The best way to execute a project like this is to start with a proper storyboard. But in our case we did not need one because our concept and idea was from a magazine ad. We just needed a perfectly timed script.

When the script was approved, we went straight into VO. The recording and duration of our Voiceovers(VO) are essential for this kind of short duration TVC’s because it will govern the overall timing of the video.

While the script and vo was being done and approved. We were working on animation elements, example: Head and Mouth, Car Body Parts, Backgrounds.

Then came the daunting tasks of animating the talking characters. We imported all the separate elements into After Effects and used the final VO as a guide to animate the talking heads. The rest was easy.

The job was completed from start to finish in just 10 working days. Yes working with short durations may feel a little restricting but with a good script and planning, the job will sail smoothly.

What Is A CREATIVE DIRECTOR?

In Uncategorized on August 8, 2010 at 6:36 pm

Most regular people do not understand the function and role of a Creative Director. The designation Director, Art Director, Director of Photography and Creative Director all sound the same to the layman.

But in fact the Creative Directors role is far more crucial then just sitting on a special chair shouting “action” and “cut”.

He is the soul person who is responsible for developing the concept and idea of the entire video to fit the branding of the company or company’s products. He also shapes and moulds the whole video to specifically have an impact on the target audience or market.

He is half artistically driven and half a marketing executive.

Some production houses only have visual Directors and you can only find good Creative Directors in big Advertising Agencies like BBDO and J Walter Thompson. That’s because they understand the importance of branding. Unlike hard selling, Product branding last longer and places the product in a pedestal like position among it’s competitors, which helps the product to out sell with little effort in advertising.

Creative Directors are responsible for the overall look and feel of the entire project and are also liable for it’s success and failure.

More then 10 Years Experience

In Uncategorized on August 5, 2010 at 6:38 pm

Hello there!

MY names Neil Nilson Felix, I’m Malaysian and am a creative digital video director who has  massive experience in producing digital videos for multiple categories. Mtv, Product launch videos, corporate videos, tvc, to mention a few.

Starting from a gaffer and learning my way into the linear “A-B roll” editing room, spending countless hours in front of the cpu self educating myself on non-linear editing softwares like Avid, Media100 and FCP then working on direct projects with my clients and expanding my capabilities as a director and producer. I’m the easiest and most productive creative director to work with. I know my shots before the camera is prep to roll.

I run  a small operation called Triangle Tangle Productions and it has seen and produced over  500.00 videos in the span of just 5 years. It’s mostly because of my competitive pricing and my low overheads that helped me achieve such a monstrous record.

Triangle Tangle Productions is now moving into online content, I believe this to be the future of video production. No more boundaries, say what you want to say, show what you want to show 24/7 video content for the globe. – That certainly  sounds like the FUTURE!
